Therapy for Adults Tired of Holding It All Together
Support for anxiety, burnout, trauma, life transitions, and adult ADHD in Murrieta and online across California.
In-Person in Murrieta | Online Across California
You know why you do what you do. Changing what happens in the moment is harder.
You've gained insight. You've talked about it. You've tried to change. But when you're stressed, hurt, overwhelmed, or vulnerable, old reactions can take over before you can do much about it.
Maybe you’re feeling…
Exhausted from being the one who keeps everything together
Frustrated that you understand your reactions but still repeat them
On edge even when nothing is obviously wrong
Unsure that you can trust your own needs, feelings, or decisions
Disconnected in relationships, even when you want to feel close
Like you’ve worked too hard on yourself to still feel this stuck
The good news is
You don’t have to keep white-knuckling your way through life.
I help adults who are tired of overthinking, overfunctioning, shutting down, and repeating patterns they already understand. We work on what’s underneath those reactions so you can have more choice when they show up.
What I Help With
ANXIETY & BURNOUT
When your nervous system won't settle
TRAUMA & ATTACHMENT
When the damage wasn't one event, but a thousand small ones
PERFECTIONISM & OVERFUNCTIONING
The exhaustion of never feeling or doing enough
ADULT ADHD
For high-masking adults navigating emotional regulation and burnout
How I Work
You probably don’t need someone to just listen and nod.
You need help figuring out why the same reactions keep showing up—and what to do when they do.
I’m active in the room. I’ll ask questions, point out patterns, and help you notice what’s happening underneath the overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, or pressure to keep it all together.
Sometimes talking helps. Sometimes insight only gets you so far.
That’s when we may use IFS, Attachment-Focused EMDR, or somatic work to get at the parts of the problem that don’t change just because you understand them.
The fact is…
You don’t need the same kind of support for every problem.
We can figure out what fits, together.
That might mean ongoing individual therapy to work through patterns over time, EMDR when something specific still feels unresolved, or an intensive when you want more focused time to go deeper without stopping after 50 minutes.
My approach
-
EMDR therapy helps your brain and nervous system reprocess experiences, beliefs, and emotional patterns that still feel unresolved. This can be especially helpful when insight alone has not changed the way your body reacts, the way old memories feel, or the way certain triggers keep showing up in your life.
-
IFS helps us understand the different parts of you that may feel stuck, conflicted, protective, overwhelmed, or exhausted. Instead of fighting the inner critic, the overachiever, the people-pleaser, or the part that shuts down, we get curious about what those parts are trying to protect. This work helps create more self-trust, compassion, and internal steadiness.
-
Somatic therapy brings the body and nervous system into the work. Together, we pay attention to signals like tension, shutdown, urgency, numbness, or overwhelm so healing is not only something you understand intellectually. This can help you build more capacity, regulation, and safety from the inside out.

Want to go deeper?
Wondering if weekly therapy is the right format for what you’re working on?
EMDR Intensives give us longer, focused blocks of time to work with a specific memory, pattern, or experience without having to stop when the usual session ends.
They can be a good fit if you already know what you want to focus on and want a more concentrated way to do the work.

I was looking for someone who wasn’t just a great listener, but someone who could really help me dig and help me understand the patterns in my life that were holding me back... Tana has given me so many valuable tools, resources, and ways to reflect on myself that have helped me understand myself, accept myself, interact in healthier ways with others, become less attached to my past identity, and just generally feel more free from my personal traumas.
